So I recently started a new coconut journey... it's been great so far
Nothing about coconut is useless. The taste of the milk, cream, cakes and so on( the list is endless) is heavenly.
No wonder is it called the fruit of life...
Starting from the outer shell,
they can be used to make bowls, or crafted to create utensils and other items. Some people use them to create musical instruments also to form caves in aquariums. When ground, the shells of the coconut may also be used in various exfoliating products. They can even be used to make some decorative items... You did not think so right?
Coconut water
Oh my... It is darn refreshing. Have u ever been on a tropical island with a straw in a young coconut sipping the water (the thought of this makes me want to travel right now).
Apart from being refreshing, it is sterile with a lot of electrolytes needed for the body. Athletes even take it as a post work out drink. Do you believe there was a time, in wars, it was used instead of glucose solution directly in the veins of patients. It's that sterile!
NOTE: IT MUST NOT REPLACE THE WATER YOU DRINK!!!
Coconut meat
This is the part I have been crazy about. It's the white part of the coconut found inside the shell. It is used to make coconut milk, oil, cream, flour, yoghurt etc the list is endless.
It is also highly nutritious...and yummy too.
Coconut milk
It is gotten from the coconut meat. This is simply done by squeezing the meat as hard you can after blending or grating (if u like the hard life).
It can be used to bake, cook, and even to take your cereal. Just about anything you can use a cow's milk for.
Are you lactose intolerant? Have u tried using coconut milk in place of cow's milk? You should? It is lactose free, yummy and highly nutritious.
